Thinking about imprints as memory after a changing season, death, or really any kind of evolution. Sometimes subtle, fading, layered, and other times really sharp.
It's interesting what our memory distorts or edits and funny to think that forgetting is an active process in the brain. The hippocampus creates new cells, and they can overwrite established memories.
One reason I make is to actively not forget. And I don't want to forget making this on a windy fall day, watching the leaves swirl around through the window thinking about my grandfather and feeling much gratitude. 🍁
